La Fédération québécoise des échecs (FQE) annonce la création du CAMP d’échecs du Championnat ouvert d’échecs du Québec (COQ) et la présence des grands maîtres Matthieu Cornette (France) et Bator Sambuev (Russie) comme instructeurs.
Du nouveau cette année au COQ. La FQE est fière d’annoncer que se tiendra un Camp d’échecs (26-30 juillet 2010) pour les jeunes et moins jeunes durant le COQ 2010. Créé en partenariat avec l’Association Échecs et Maths, ce camp permettra aux participants de recevoir des cours de deux Grands maîtres chevronnés : Matthieu Cornette pour la formation en français et Bator Sambuev pour la formation en anglais.
La formule est simple : l’avant-midi sera consacré à l’enseignement théorique alors que, durant l’après-midi, les formateurs s’attarderont sur les aspects plus pratiques avec analyse de parties des participants. Le soir, les participants seront libres de participer au COQ, qui tout comme le Camp, se déroulera au Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf.
Pour les joueurs de l’extérieur de Montréal, il est bon de noter que le Camp est offert en pension complète (hébergement et repas) ou en formule camp de jour. Les jeunes joueurs de l’extérieur de Montréal auront ainsi accès à une formation échiquéenne de qualité tout en ayant l’opportunité de participer au COQ, le tout à un coût abordable dans un environnement supervisé.

The Quebec Chess Federation (FQE) announces the creation of the Quebec Open Summer Chess Camp for 2010. Grand masters Matthieu Cornette of France and Bator Sambuev of Russia will be the instructors.
New this year to the Quebec Open (July 24-31, 2010). The FQE is proud to announce the creation of a summer chess camp (July 26-30, 2010) for young and not so young players to be held in conjunction with the tournament.
Organized in partnership with Chess and Maths Association (CMA), this camp will give the opportunity to the participants to receive lessons both in French and English according to their choice. Lessons will be provided by two strong Grand masters : Matthieu Cornette (French) and Bator Sambuev (English).
The formula is simple: morning day session will focus on theory (strategy, tactics…) while the afternoon will deal with tournament game analysis and practice. During the evening, participants will be free to play in the Quebec Open, the event being held also at Brebeuf College, site of the tournament.
Full pension will be offered to players coming from outside Montreal (meals and lodging). Younger participants will be monitored at all time. Participants can also choose to attend the training only like a day camp. This represents an interesting opportunity for players outside of Montreal to play in the Quebec Open while receiving great training at a very reasonable cost.
